This series of photographs was completed as part of a photography course I completed while in Perth, Western Australia in 2007. I was inspired by the street art, graffiti, and tagging that I saw while walking around the city, and this project grew out of my fascination for these territorial markings and public art pieces. The premise being, "If a city was a person, where would these things be?" I wanted to explore how these acts of vandalism and artistic expression both marred and beautified a city through the metaphor of a human body.
